Common Grounds Cafe in Speculator

Our family stopped here while camping in the area. The coffee was fresh and hot. The food offerings were surprisingly unique and very good. I had the Sausage, Cheddar and Apple scramble, and our son had a breakfast wrap. Both were delicious. I also ordered a flavored ice coffee to go, and it was very good. We all agreed we will eat here again when we return to the area.

This café had amazing food and drinks. It also had a number of wonderful books and toys. It even had awesome smelling lotion.

A great stop along the way. Wonderful sandwiches. Tuna melt with coleslaw and fresh lemonade is incredible.Great selection of adk gifts also.

Food and service are excellent, great selection of children's books. We go every time we go camping.

Not open anymore snow hadn't been cleared from porch or parking lot this winter. I don't know how long they've been closed but it's been a while.

Great place

I'm an espresso lover and home roaster. These guys have a great Vivaldi S1 espresso machine, but use pods instead of grinding in house. Too bad. There is potential if they get some training. Didn't try the food. It's a bit hard to find behind the department store at the intersection.

A great place to get coffee and lunch. The owner Lisa, was very kind and we had a nice conversation. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Speculator.

My all time favorite breakfast place. Coffee, food, toast, people and candy by the register, not that I need the candy.

Yum! Randomly stopped on our way home from ADK to Cleveland and I'm so glad we did! Cute little shop and great food!

A little gift shop & cafe tucked off the main road. They have a decent selection of both food, coffee. Their staff is attentive and quick and the cafe is clean with a large restroom. The food is simple, run of the mill diner with an added quirk that you are eating in amidst the goods from the shop (mostly walls lined with children's books and souvenir tshirts for the area). Wander here if you are looking for a coffee to go or the other places in town are crowded and you want a little peace.

the name of the diner is evocative of better coffee than you get served. the potato salad, stay away. the grilled cheese, passable.

Good prices and food despite being in a touristy area. The breakfast burrito was great. I added avocado. Our family also ordered Monte cristo sandwiches which they loved!

Adorably quaint cafe and gift shop with many unique finds including latest children's books, candles, lake decor, quality comfortable apparel. Our brunch was delicious and the service was impeccable 👌 😋

Being Celiac, I am unable to eat bread out in many restaurants. So, I was pleased to able to have the best gluten-free toast this am with my breakfast. The servers were pleasant and the atmosphere "rustic."

This is a great coffee shop that not only has a good food menu but also has tons of good guality cute shirts, hoodies, and other souvenirs.

5 Stars is not high enough, from my perspective, for this cafe and the owner, Lisa. She went out of her way to provide our family and friends wonderful food, a pleasant location and an atmosphere where we could gather to be together. We will be regular customers when we are in the Speculator area.
